The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is an international organization that evaluates the environmental impact of businesses and organizations. As part of our CSR initiatives and efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, we joined this initiative in 2023, supported by one of our clients. In 2024, we received a B rating, reflecting our commitment.
CDP, an international benchmark
The CDP collects environmental data through a questionnaire that assesses companies’ climate strategies. A rating from A to D-, called the Level Engagement Score, is given based on their commitment and actions.
The CDP covers three major themes:
- 🌡️Climate change
- 💧Water management
- 🌲 Forest protection
At Selha Group, only the climate dimension was evaluated.
Our approach and progress
We joined the CDP based on our annual carbon assessments. In 2022, we received a C rating. This year, our B rating (the highest in our ETI/SME category) reflects our efforts and increasing commitment.
Why participate in the CDP?
The CDP offers several advantages:
- 🍃Transparency & credibility: proof of a strong environmental commitment to our stakeholders.
- 🆙 Tracking our progress: we can assess our actions, identify areas for improvement, and adjust our strategy to meet our goals.
- ✅ Anticipating regulations: more and more regulations are requiring companies to report their carbon impact.
The CDP helps us comply with these obligations. This recognition encourages our environmental efforts. See you in 2026 for the next evaluation!
